The Hidden Truth Behind 'Organic' Spray Tans
Unveiling the Organic Illusion in Spray Tanning
Explore how the beauty industry markets spray tans as ‘organic’ and what it really means for you.
The Organic Myth of Spray Tans
I hear it every day! Other places claim to offer an organic spray tan, but after a while, I nod. The truth is, not all spray tan technicians really know what they are spraying. They lack the understanding of the distinctions between aloe and alcohol-based products or even consider conducting thorough research on the alcohol content of the product before applying it to someone with psoriasis or eczema.
One of my favorites is when tan technicians advertise their latest “ORGANIC” spray tans as new and improved. It’s hard to believe, but it’s true. I understand that companies use the term “organic” because it boosts sales, but upon closer examination, one would realize that there’s no such thing as an organic spray tan. Merely stating “organically certified” on the label doesn’t guarantee the product’s authenticity. Even if some ingredients within cosmetics are individually certified organic, the final product itself might lack organic certification.httphttps://www.usda.gov/media/blog/2012/03/22/organic-101-what-usda-organic-label-means#:~:text=USDA%20certified%20organic%20foods%20are,control%2C%20and%20use%20of%20additives.s://www.usda.gov/media/blog/2012/03/22/organic-101-what-usda-organic-label-means#:~:text=USDA%20certified%20organic%20foods%20are,control%2C%20and%20use%20of%20additives.
